George Evatt, Coral Sea Warrior Ambassador

| George Evatt award winning underwater documentary producer is our Coral Sea Warriors Ambassador. George believes, “Overfishing is one of the main threats facing the world’s oceans. There is now overwhelming scientific evidence that marine protected areas provide protection from fishing and also help maintain biodiversity and safeguard important marine habitats. Protecting the Coral Sea would create the world’s largest marine park; it would show Australia’s commitment to caring for the oceans and would be a wonderful legacy for our children and grandchildren.” George Evatt is an award winning underwater documentary producer. His work has screened in Australia and internationally and in 2004 he received the prestigious Whitley Medal from the Royal Zoological Society of New South Wales for best publication on the natural history of Australian animals. Since 2003 George has also presented his marine life issues talk, Beneath Southern Seas to more than 90,000 Australian school students. |

The Protect Our Coral Sea beautiful kite design generously created especially for the campaign by Australian designer Akira Isogawa. |
Protect Our Coral Sea Ambassador Akira Isogawa generously created the kite design to support the campaign.
He believes, “I am inspired by the discovery of precious and exotic colours of Australia. The Coral Sea has all the elements of inspiration. Let us be reminded of how important it is to protect it."
Also another special thank you to Mike Richards from Kite Magic for the kite design (www.kitesite.com.au) and for his enthusiasm for this project. The Protect our Coral Sea kite could not have been made possible without Mike and Akira's fantastic support.
